John Albin Wilkins has been a professional programmer for over 30 years. John started developing web sites before Microsoft released its first web browser. He's contributed and helps maintain Open Source software that is free and powers millions of websites.

John has shared his knowledge by presenting at software conferences over 70 times across the world. During the past decade, John has taught adults and teens how to make websites, how to program Lego robots, and how to code.


Xavier Chang teaches English and Humanities. Having graduated from the City University of Hong Kong, Xavier had initially focused on animation and filmmaking before finding a higher calling in education. Having extensive teaching experience ranging from helping ESL students navigate the education system (such as passing the TOEFL / IELTS / SAT exam and applying for college) to other subjects such as US / World History, Social Studies, Creative and Academic Writing, and Literature Analysis, Xavier occasionally jokes that he "only teaches everything." One philosophy that is consistent across all of Xavier's classes and defines his teaching methodology is the importance of helping students grasp the bigger picture through details. Because information rarely exists in a vacuum, he tends to put less emphasis on the subject matter itself, but rather the role they play in the grand scheme of things. By interweaving multiple disciplines together, such as English, history, and literature, students not only gain a deep understanding of the root causes that define the world today, but also how the consequences of each action ripple throughout time. For example, a unit on the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor would examine on how the event itself was simultaneously a culminating response to the effects of imperialism, racism, and mutually compounded mistakes—as well as a forerunner, setting many precedents in technological innovation, communication, grand strategy, and international cooperation. This ensures that Xavier's classes are far from the typical dull, boring lectures about simple facts: they are engaging and immersive because students will learn not only how it feels to live during that period of time, but also the potential role they themselves play and how their decisions can affect and shape the world. In his spare time, Xavier prefers reading and writing, but occasionally also returns to animation and storytelling: to deconstruct films and narratives and why some work (and why some do not), and also how to incorporate these lessons learned into his own. Xavier also has had a minor, lifelong obsession with railways; he has been building a 150km+ long high speed rail line on his computer since 2020.
